-TASTE & TRAIT--Dry shoots, cylindrical, 0.3-1 cm in diameter, brown-red or purple-brown in appearance. There are branch marks, leaf marks, bud marks on the surface, along with longitudinal and transverse lines. Hard and brittle, easy to break, uneven section. It has a brown-red edge on the outside and a darker center. The cross section of the thick branches is yellow and white. Fragrance, sweet and spicy. Young, brown-red and fragrant are preferred.
-COLLOCATION--It is often used with Angelica sinensis, peony, walnut, aconite, notopterygium root, licorice, ginger, jujube and so on.
